Sample Sites

Some things can only be learned from experience. For almost 25 years, we’ve been building sites for every kind of business and organization. A website should be tailored to match your brand’s personality, and to appeal to your niche’s target demographic. Whatever industry you’re in, we know what will work for you!

UBrew Website

Flying Fish Winery

We gave Flying Fish Winery’s website a juicy, colourful redesign that highlighted their signature products including wedding packages and fresh juice wines.

Before Web321, Flying Fish Winery was adding their content as huge images that included all the text and graphics. Not only did the big images slow down site load time, but it made the text invisible to search engines! We helped Google find them by separating the content into text and optimized images.

We redesigned the site using Divi – a user-friendly WordPress theme – and added an eCommerce store where clients can order their own winemaking supplies.

Tourism Website

Tofino Sea Kayaking

This friendly Vancouver Island kayaking rental and tour company needed a site that preserved their existing “look” while expanding site functionality, content and improving ease of use. We stripped down the old site, kept the branding and built it all back up in user-friendly Divi. Tofino Sea Kayaking is now able to easily add and change site content themselves, with Divi’s drag-and-drop functionality.

We simplified the customer’s booking experience by integrating each tour page with a Checkfront widget showing the available dates for that specific tour. To improve the visual appeal of the website, we used Tofino Sea Kayak’s own stunning photographs to build a slider for the landing page, and a unique banner for each section of the site.

Artist Website

Sheila Karrow

Sheila contacted us with a problem – her existing site was built with an old theme that was no longer being supported.  We created this simple yet elegant site to showcase her magical art without taking any attention away from it. We chose Elegant Theme’s drag-and-drop masonry-style theme “Extra” for its timeless look combined with ease of use.

The front page has a slider of featured works, allowing the paintings to tell their story as soon as the visitor lands on the site. Below that, a news slider highlights recent posts. The rest of the posts flow down the page in an attractive pattern; this widget is configured not to show any of the posts displayed in the slider above, avoiding duplicates.

Medical Website

Kersten Orthodontics

Dr. Kersten’s existing site was dated, and didn’t match the level of professionalism reflected in his practice. He wanted a mobile-friendly website, not reliant on Flash, with a colour scheme that conveyed the safe, sterile environment that one looks for in a dental practice.

We built a responsive website featuring a clean, bright design, with robust security controls to keep out malware and hackers. A special feature of this site: Dr. Kersten wanted a before & after slider to show his clinical results, but the existing plugin was not Internet Explorer compliant. We rebuilt the slider to make it display properly across all browsers.

Consultant Website

Arbor Educational & Clinical Consulting

Arbor asked us to help modernize their page, streamline it and make it mobile-friendly. The original page was cluttered and busy, and wasn’t optimized for handheld devices. We built them a clean, modern page in WordPress, with fewer pages but much greater impact.

We built the new site in Divi – a versatile, easy-to-update WordPress theme. We fixed the Twitter feed, which had stopped updating, and improved the site’s search engine optimization. By decreasing the page count, we consolidated the content and made it easier for potential clients to find the information they needed.
